MEGS Support Pledge

The MIT study, The Future of Geothermal Energy, presents a cost of $800,000,000 to a billion dollars as the amount needed to provide the research needed to assist Enhanced Geothermal Systems to be commercially viable. Next to the trillion dollar plus amount of the subsidies that the fossil fuel and nuclear industries receive, it is a small amount, but very unlikely to be provided in a timely manner by Federal research funds. MEGSorg, Inc. has created a pledge (The MEGS Support Pledge) that it will attempt to use to raise this amount ($1 Billion) from individuals in $1,000 Pledges to be paid over 5 years.
